Find answers to common questions about our bike rentals, guided tours, and safety measures.
Our bikes do not come with pre-installed baskets attached. You can rent an extra basket for your tour or rental at an additional cost of 49 DKK p. day. Please note that the cargo and tandem bikes do not have space for an additional basket.
Our tours go out in all weather, also in rain and snow. We always recommend to check the weather forecast and to dress accordingly. If you would like to be able to cancel in case of rain, we recommend booking a "Trip Protection" which grants you a refund up to 1 hour before the start of the tour (instead of the 24 hours).
We will only cancel a tour due to extreme weathers.
From the central station it is a 10 minute walk. The closest metro station is Rådhuspladsen and is one stop away. The same goes for the S-train station Vesterport. From the Oceankaj Cruise Terminal it will take you around 30 minutes.
By public transport, take the bus 164 to Orientkaj. At Orientkaj, your first option is to switch to the M4 (København Syd) and exit at Rådhuspladsen. From here it is a 2-3 minute walk.
Your other option is to switch to any s-train heading south and get off at Vesterport. It is a 5-7 minute walk from there. Either way, the trip should take you around 30 minutes.
There are two parking spots around the corner: Studiestræde 48 Parking and on Jarmers Plads. For both you will need a parking app, i.e. EasyPark. A bit further away, there is also a parking garage at the Axel Towers.
You can cancel your booking up until 24 hours before the start of the booking for a full refund. You can either send us an e-mail or use a link in your booking confirmation. This rule does not apply to larger group bookings and private tours.
If you want more flexibility for cancelling your booking, you can also buy a "Trip Protection" at the checkout. This will allow you to cancel for a full refund (minus processing fees and the protection) up to 1 hour before the tour.
We accept credit- and debit-cards. Online you can also pay with Google Pay or Apple Pay. We do not take cash anymore. For rentals, please note that we have to take a deposit for any other payment method than credit card, and that you have to return the bikes during our opening hours (09.00-14.30) to receive your deposit back. The deposit for a normal bike is 1000 DKK. No payment with deposit is possible for special bikes (e-bikes, cargos, tandem, e-cargo).

If you return our bikes after opening hours (09.00-14.30), then park the bikes in front of our store, put the keys into the pouch we gave you, and throw the keys into the letter box. Baskets and helmets need to be chained to the bikes. Please do not return bikes after 18.00. Instead come back the next morning between 08.30 and 09.00. You can find instructional videos here.
Yes, we offer bike delivery and pick up within Copenhagen. Per way we charge 1500 kr. for up to 15 bikes. Please let us know in due time so we can organise the transport.
Yes. Please give us a call so we can check availability for the next day(s). Or you can make a booking online for the next day. Please let us know that you have extended the rental this way so we are aware of it. :)
No, when you rent a bike you are liable for theft and if you lose a bike, you have to pay for it. All bikes come with a double-lock, and if you take good care of locking it, the risk for theft is very small. Most travel insurances cover theft, so we recommend checking out whether your travel insurance would cover in case of theft.
All bikes must be returned either by 18.00 on the last day of the rental period, or on the following morning between 08.30 and 09.00. For bikes that are returned later, we will charge you an extra day. If you are unsure on how to return the bikes, please talk to one of our staff members or see our instructional video.
During the time of the rental, you are fully responsible for any damages to the bike and you agree to pay for any damages. If you would like to be insured against flat tires, you can get our Flat Tire Insurance. Please read our ‘Terms and Conditions’ for a full overview.
In case the bike breaks and you cannot continue your trip, give us a call, or return with the bike to the store to get a new one. Don’t panic. We will always find a solution.
During our tours, the guide will either try to fix your bike or rent a city bike on which you can continue your tour (the guide might also offer you their bike and take the city bike instead).
