Copenhagen didn't earn its reputation as a world food capital by accident. On this tour, you skip the tourist traps and ride straight into the places where real Copenhageners eat, drink, and hang out. We take you through Vesterbro and Nørrebro, two of the city's most vibrant foodie neighborhoods, stopping at five carefully chosen spots along the way.
En route, you'll pass through some of the city's most iconic food landmarks: the regenerated meat-packing district Kødbyen, the storied Carlsberg Brewery with its famous elephant gate, and Torvehallerne, Copenhagen's celebrated market hall and the beating heart of the city's new food culture. We also roll down Jægersborggade, the hipster-beloved street lined with indie cafés, specialty shops, and some of the best small-batch food in the city.
Along the way you'll taste your way through five stops: a contemporary take on Denmark's oldest food tradition, some of the finest Wienerbrød in the city, a proper Copenhagen ice cream with all the classic toppings, an extraordinary craft beer chosen from a basement shop stacked floor to ceiling, and finally a sit-down plate of smørrebrød with a shot of housemade fruit snaps. Open-faced rye bread as it was meant to be eaten.
Every stop connects a taste to a neighborhood and a tradition to a story. Your guide will fill in the gaps. Copenhagen's food culture runs deep, and there's always more to tell. The tour works for everyone: vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores are all well catered for at every stop.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start to check in and get settled. The tour covers around 8 km of flat Copenhagen cycling and takes approximately 3.5 hours. Included are an English-speaking guide, five food and drink samples, a bike, helmet, rain poncho, and use of the toilets at the shop. Our lounge is open before and after the tour, and your guide is happy to give further recommendations for the rest of your stay.

Yes, that is totally possible and a great way to keep exploring Copenhagen on your own. Please talk to your tour guide during or after the tour. You will also get a discount of 50 DKK per bike this way.
We have many children on our highlight tours, and we offer several options on how they can join. We have children bikes in different sizes (20'' and 24'') if the children want to cycle themselves. It is also possible to book a tandem suited for one adult and one child. Otherwise you can also bring your children in a cargo bike (also electrical option available), or in a child seat (for children up to 24kg). Newborn children are not suited to join the tour. From the central station it is a 10 minute walk. The closest metro station is Rådhuspladsen and is one stop away. The same goes for the S-train station Vesterport. From the Oceankaj Cruise Terminal it will take you around 30 minutes.
By public transport, take the bus 164 to Orientkaj. At Orientkaj, your first option is to switch to the M4 (København Syd) and exit at Rådhuspladsen. From here it is a 2-3 minute walk.
Your other option is to switch to any s-train heading south and get off at Vesterport. It is a 5-7 minute walk from there. Either way, the trip should take you around 30 minutes.
Our tours go out in all weather, also in rain and snow. We always recommend to check the weather forecast and to dress accordingly. If you would like to be able to cancel in case of rain, we recommend booking a "Trip Protection" which grants you a refund up to 1 hour before the start of the tour (instead of the 24 hours).
We will only cancel a tour due to extreme weathers.
You can cancel your booking up until 24 hours before the start of the booking for a full refund. You can either send us an e-mail or use a link in your booking confirmation. This rule does not apply to larger group bookings and private tours.
If you want more flexibility for cancelling your booking, you can also buy a "Trip Protection" at the checkout. This will allow you to cancel for a full refund (minus processing fees and the protection) up to 1 hour before the tour.
