Foodie Bike Tour with Tastings

Where Tradition meets Contemporary

Over the last decade Copenhagen has made itself known as an international hotspot of tasty food and drinks, blending traditional classics with influences from all over the world. As you cycle from one foodie area to the next, you’ll get introduced to five carefully selected hospitality specialists. Book now to get a taste of modern day Copenhagen!

The 3 hours bike tour will take you through Nørrebro and Vesterbro – two of the favourite districts for Copenhagen foodies. On the route you’ll stop at five different locations to sample some of the dishes the people who live here love. As you enjoy the food, your guide will introduce you more deeply with the neighbourhoods and offer pointers to other great culinary places to explore.

Egalitarian as is the Scandinavian tradition, this tour has something to offer for everyone: vegans and omnivores, Danish traditionalists and lovers of world cuisine, lavish spenders and travellers on a shoestring budget. We cover a wide range from traditional Danish favorites like smørrebrød and pastry all the way to contemporary Middle Eastern food, created by a new generation of chefs who artfully blend recipes, ingredients, and spices from their diverse cultural backgrounds with the contemporary Danish pledge to fresh, local and ecologically sourced ingredients.

FAQ

Can I keep the bike after the tour?

Yes, that is totally possible and a great way to keep exploring Copenhagen on your own. Please talk to your tour guide during or after the tour. You will also get a discount of 50 DKK per bike this way.

Can my child join the tour?

We have many children on our highlight tours, and we offer several options on how they can join. We have children bikes in different sizes (20'' and 24'') if the children want to cycle themselves. It is also possible to book a tandem suited for one adult and one child. Otherwise you can also bring your children in a cargo bike (also electrical option available), or in a child seat (for children up to 24kg). Newborn children are not suited to join the tour. If you are in doubt, please send us an email to info@tropicalbikes.dk, and we are happy to help.

How far are the central station and the cruise ship terminals away from the shop?

From the central station it is a 10 minute walk. The closest metro station is Rådhuspladsen and is one stop away. The same goes for the S-train station Vesterport. From the Oceankaj Cruise Terminal it will take you around 30 minutes.

By public transport, take the bus 164 to Orientkaj. At Orientkaj, your first option is to switch to the M4 (København Syd) and exit at Rådhuspladsen. From here it is a 2-3 minute walk.

Your other option is to switch to any s-train heading south and get off at Vesterport. It is a 5-7 minute walk from there. Either way, the trip should take you around 30 minutes.

What happens when it rains?

Our tours go out in all weather, also in rain and snow. We always recommend to check the weather forecast and to dress accordingly. If you would like to be able to cancel in case of rain, we recommend booking a "Trip Protection" which grants you a refund up to 1 hour before the start of the tour (instead of the 24 hours).

We will only cancel a tour due to extreme weathers.

When and how can I cancel my booking latest for a full refund?

You can cancel your booking up until 24 hours before the start of the booking for a full refund. You can either send us an e-mail or use a link in your booking confirmation. This rule does not apply to larger group bookings and private tours.

If you want more flexibility for cancelling your booking, you can also buy a "Trip Protection" at the checkout. This will allow you to cancel for a full refund (minus processing fees and the protection) up to 1 hour before the tour.
