Explore the city's most inspiring neighbourhoods and discover how climate adaptation, social entrepreneurship and community initiatives are shaping one of the world's most liveable cities. Along the way you'll visit places most visitors never see — before arriving at Det Bæredygtige Forsamlingshus (The Sustainable Community House), a former hospital site being transformed into a new green neighbourhood in Frederiksberg. Here you'll meet the people behind the project, join a creative workshop, and leave something behind that helps the place grow. You'll ride back having seen Copenhagen differently — and having played a small role in its story.
A Tour Built on Exchange
At Tropical Bikes, we believe the best way to experience a city is to give something back to it. On this tour, you're not just a visitor — you're a participant. We'll ride through neighbourhoods where the city is actively being reimagined, and your guide will introduce you to the initiatives and people making it happen. At the workshop, you bring your own perspective: where you come from, how your city thinks about sustainability. That exchange is part of the experience.
Before, During, and After the Tour
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure to check in, meet your guide, and get comfortable on your bike. The tour takes approximately 3 hours and covers around 10 km through some of Copenhagen's most interesting areas. Copenhagen is flat and the pace is relaxed — suitable for most fitness levels. After the workshop at Det Bæredygtige Forsamlingshus, you'll ride back together to our store in the city centre.
Back at the store, our guides are happy to give you further recommendations for your stay.

Please note: bike sizes are assigned first come, first served and cannot be reserved in advance. If you need a large frame, we suggest arriving early in the day to secure one. Children's bikes must be reserved separately.
FAQ
Our tours go out in all weather, also in rain and snow. We always recommend to check the weather forecast and to dress accordingly. If you would like to be able to cancel in case of rain, we recommend booking a "Trip Protection" which grants you a refund up to 1 hour before the start of the tour (instead of the 24 hours).
We will only cancel a tour due to extreme weathers.
Vi arbejder med maksimalt 15 deltagere pr. tur. Vi gør vores bedste for at undgå overbooking og holde antallet under 15 pr. tur.
Vi accepterer kredit- og betalingskort samt kontanter. Ved leje skal du være opmærksom på, at vi skal opkræve et depositum for enhver anden betalingsmetode end kreditkort, og at du skal returnere cyklerne i vores åbningstider (09.00-14.30) for at modtage dit depositum tilbage. Depositum for en almindelig cykel er 500 kr. og 1000 kr. for en speciel cykel.
